PRIOR ART: Before Bezos. Before Priceline. Before the World Could See It. The Architect of Amazon — Book IIn November 1995, a US Navy cryptographer in Lake Worth, Florida wrote down a vision that would become the architecture of the modern delivery economy. He called it The Silvernet — a networked community system that would sell groceries at cost, deliver free, and fund itself entirely through local business advertising. He named William Shatner as the ideal national spokesman. He described a five-step commercialization pathway beginning with online travel booking. He projected the financials down to the cent. He saw the future clearly — and he documented every word.On April 6, 1996, Archie Newlan Johnson, III disclosed the complete Silvernet architecture in a private two-hour meeting with Richard S. Braddock at the East Pointe Golf and Racquet Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. One hundred and fifty-two days later, Walker Digital filed US Patent 5,794,207 — a "Demand Collection System."Johnson did not know the patent was being filed. He was still actively developing and pitching the Silvernet — to Domino's Pizza founder Thomas S. Monaghan in a 27-page proposal, and to IBM Chairman Louis V. Gerstner in a formal investment letter dated December 16, 1996. In that IBM letter, Johnson independently used the exact phrase "Demand Collection System" — 103 days after the patent filing, without any knowledge it existed. The same words. The same vision. A different name on the filing.William Shatner became the face of Priceline in 1997 — one year after Johnson named him. Richard S. Braddock became Priceline's Chairman and CEO in 1998. A 2001 lawsuit was dismissed on procedural grounds. The merits were never adjudicated. Braddock died September 16, 2024. The record had never been compiled in full — until now.PRIOR ART presents the complete forensic record across three analytical layers: the literal documentary evidence, the full legal and IP argument, and the author's personal testimony as the man who built what the world later called the delivery economy. This is not a memoir. This is not a lawsuit. This is the record — authenticated, dated, sourced, and complete. The prior art is real. The dates are verified. The architecture is documented. This is what was taken.Series: The Architect of Amazon — Book I of III Author: Archie Newlan Johnson, III · NEC-9142 · United States Naval Security Group Activity · 1981–1985 Format: Kindle · Paperback · Hardcover · Audiobook Record Completed: May 21, 2026 Audible can be gotten through: https://payhip.com/priorart - for $19.99 "copy & paste in a browser."
